What do I have to do to receive XFINITY?

You don’t need to do anything! As XFINITY continues to expand its coverage area across the U.S. customers will receive the digital equipment needed to enjoy XFINITY services.

Do I have to pay more for XFINITY?

There is no added cost for XFINITY services and XFINITY services are priced the same as comparable current Comcast service tiers. However, you may choose to upgrade to a higher service tier (such as a faster Internet speed) or add a Sports and Entertainment package to your TV service.

Is my Comcast.net email address going to change?

No, your @comcast.net email addresses will not change.

When will I begin to receive XFINITY?

I keep hearing about PowerBoost®. What is it?

PowerBoost® is a network technology developed by Comcast which will help you download and upload large files to the Internet faster than ever before. It also provides the extra speed you need when multiple members of your household are online at the same time. While you are downloading files like video games or movies, PowerBoost® literally “boosts” your download power and speed up to 50 Mbps!

How will I know when PowerBoost® is enhancing my speed?

Large files including photos, games, music and software will download and upload at a dramatically faster speed when you have XFINITY Internet with PowerBoost®. The burst of speed from PowerBoost® occurs during the first 10 MB of downloaded files, and the first 5 MB of uploaded files. Your PowerBoost® will work automatically – whenever it is needed. If it seems like your PowerBoost® is not working when it is needed, try resetting your modem by unplugging it for at least a minute and plugging it back in.

Does PowerBoost® cost extra?

No. PowerBoost® is available free of charge for all residential XFINITY Internet subscribers with at least 6 Mbps and 8 Mbps connections. If you have a subscription with one of these connection speeds, PowerBoost® is automatically incorporated into your connection. You don’t need to do anything or pay anything extra.

How do I order PowerBoost®?
